We do not collect any personal user data. Turn up the Heat is a browser-based card game. We don't ask for your name, email, phone number, or any personally identifiable information. No accounts. No tracking cookies. No advertising.
Turn up the Heat is a couples card game accessible at this website. The game runs entirely in your browser — no data is sent to any server simply by playing.
We do not collect:
— Your name or any identity information
— Email addresses
— Device identifiers
— Browsing history
— Cookies for tracking or advertising
— Any data while you play the game
We only collect the following, and only if you voluntarily choose to submit feedback via the in-game feedback form:
— Your star rating
— Your favourite card type
— Whether you'd play again
— Whether you'd want a physical deck
— Your suggested price (if provided)
— An approximate city and country derived from your IP address
When you submit feedback, we use a third-party service (ipapi.co) to estimate your approximate city and country from your IP address. This is used purely to understand which regions our players are from. We do not store your IP address. The location data is city-level only and is not personally identifiable. You can learn more at ipapi.co/privacy.
Feedback responses are stored in a private Google Sheet accessible only to the game creator. This data is used solely to improve the game — understanding what players enjoy, whether a physical version is desirable, and where players are located. It is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
This site uses the following third-party services:
— Google Fonts — to load typography. Google may log font requests.
— Google Analytics — to understand how many people visit and use the site. It collects anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, device type and approximate location. It does not identify you personally. You can opt out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
— ipapi.co — for approximate location on feedback submission only.
— Google Sheets (via Apps Script) — to store voluntary feedback responses.
We use Google Analytics which places anonymous cookies to measure site usage. These cookies do not identify you personally. We also use sessionStorage — a temporary browser storage that clears when you close the tab — solely to remember your age confirmation and whether you've submitted feedback. This data never leaves your device.
Turn up the Heat is intended for players aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 18. If you are under 18, please do not use this site.
Since we don't collect personal data, there is nothing to request deletion of. If you submitted feedback and would like it removed, you can contact us and we will delete that entry from our records.
If we ever change how we handle data, we will update this page. We will never introduce personal data collection without making it clear and optional.
